The Kickstart Scheme helps employers, by providing funding for them to create job placements for 16 to 24-year-olds. This Government will pay 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours for a total of 6 months. Associated employer NI contributions. In addition, you will also get a grant of £1500 to help towards setting up costs and additional training.
The Placement holder will obtain 6 months of valuable experience - which in this chicken and egg scenario if you don't have the experience you don't get a job but you need the experience to get a job!
The Placement holder will get a structured training plan to ensure that they work-ready after the 6 months.
You get a fully funded employee for 6 months up to 25 hours per week. (you can opt to top up the pay and hours at your cost)
This may enable you to see if you have enough work for an additional employee - or might just help you not have to do everything yourself.
You may find a great employee whom you could transfer onto an apprenticeship or take or permanently after the initial 6 months.
We have a template training plan already written for you to ensure you and your placement employee get the best out of the 6 months.
